New for this year, we are excited to share that we are teaming with the team from 365 Academy of Baseball and Titan’s Baseball to run our Upper Rookie and Minors Fall Ball divisions. This is a great chance for our players to learn from experienced, talented, professional coaches in a fun setting.
Fall ball is an excellent way to stay engaged with baseball and continue to build skills between Spring seasons. The program runs on Sunday mornings from September 8 to October 27.
Here is a short description of the five different age groups:
Lower Rookie: This program is for kindergartners and first graders who will play Lower Rookie in the spring. Kindergartners who played Lower Rookie this past spring should still consider doing Lower Rookie for Fall Ball. Practices will be from 9:00-10:15 on Sunday mornings at the Rookie field at Glenwood Elementary. We will need parents to help run this each week. The registration cost is $150 and the limit is 20 players.
Upper Rookie: This program is generally for second graders who played Rookie ball this Spring and/or will be entering Upper Rookie next Spring. Practice is on Sunday mornings from 10:30-12:30 at the Glenwood Rookie Field. The program will be designed by 365 Academy of Baseball. The registration cost is $250 and the limit is 32 players.
Minors: We believe all entering Minors division players should participate in Fall Ball and you are strongly encouraged to participate if your player will play Minors in the Spring. Minors will practice from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Glenwood Majors Field and this will be a chance for kids to pitch and hit against kid pitching. The program will be designed by 365 Academy of Baseball. The registration cost is $250 and the limit is 32 players.
Majors: We believe all entering Majors division players should participate in Fall Ball. Majors will practice from 9:00-11:00 at the Glenwood Majors Field. The Majors Fall Ball season includes playing scrimmages against other local leagues. For entering Majors division players this will be their first chance to see some Majors level pitching and to pitch to older kids. The beginning of the season will constitute practices focused on skills and then move into using that time for scrimmages. The registration cost is $200 and the limit is 14 players.
Juniors: We believe all entering Juniors division players should participate in Fall Ball. Juniors will practice at Alberts Field and will scrimmage on the weekends. The registration cost is $250 and the limit is 14 players.
